1982 Range Rover Classic
The Range Rover Classic is the original luxury SUV. This was a car for all seasons and terrain, boasting a top speed of around 160kmph, towing capacity of 3.5 tons, spacious enough for 5 people, hydraulic disc brakes all-around, and ground-breaking 4-speed permanent four-wheel drive. Not long does it perform well as a family saloon car, it has exceptional off-road capabilities. Adequate ground clearance and long suspension travels were proven to be effective with various notable off-road feats including winning the four-wheel drive class in the Paris-Dakar Rally in both 1979 and 1981.
This example presented by A.K.A. Automotive is very original and has only had paint work done on the driver’s side door due to a minor accident at home. The V8 Rover engine has been well maintained, and still purrs along as you drive it. The Leyland LT95 4 speed manual gearbox is stable and the ride is sold. The seats are completely original, and covers have been used for the majority of its life so they have not shown much sign of use. Having been through 39 years and 222,554kms, the car is showing some signs of aging, perfect for a contender as your next project car.
