1984 Alfa Romeo GTV6 3.0

Here we have the fastest production Alfa Romeo sports car in the 80s. Back then, there was strong rivalry between BMW and Alfa Romeo. In order to compete to the much more powerful BMW 535i, the GTV6 3.0 was developed. To qualify in races, 212 homologation cars were built, making this an extremely rare Alfa Romeo. Without disappointing, the car won the 2 hour race at Kyalami on its debut in 1983.

Many parts were developed and engineered for the car's success story. The 3.0 models were fitted with the Dellorto RFP40 carburettors, as well as all new cylinder head casting, crankshaft, pistons, sleeves and more. This resulted in a top speed of 224kmph and a 0-100kmph of 8.36s.

The GTV6 3.0 shown has gone through a full restoration by leading Alfa specialist in South Africa. The showroom condition car has new suspensions, exhaust, upholstery, and more. No cents were spared to create a GTV6 with factory conditions.
